The plate attaches to the camera via the included 3/8"-16 screws, and snaps into locked mode by dropping it into the base. By pushing the lever further, you can clamp the quick release plate in place. By pulling the lever and pushing down on the side release button at the same time, you can remove the plate from the camera.
