Unlike DJ-oriented models, the SL-1300G removes the pitch slider and strobe light, resulting in a clean, sophisticated visual presence that focuses entirely on high-fidelity performance.
Revolutionary Delta-Sigma Drive
At the heart of the SL-1300G lies a breakthrough in motor control. Utilizing Delta-Sigma Drive technology, originally developed for Technics' full-digital amplifiers, this turntable eliminates the minute motor vibrations (cogging) that plague lesser systems. The result is rotational accuracy that is incredibly smooth, delivering a soundstage with breathtaking clarity and depth.
Precision Coreless Direct Drive Motor
The iron-coreless direct drive motor features a double-rotor/single-stator construction. This provides remarkably high torque while completely avoiding the "cogging" effect. When paired with the heavyweight platter, this motor ensures the music flows with unwavering stability.
Three-Layer Turntable Platter
Technics has engineered a massive, rigid platter with a three-layer construction:
- Top: 2mm thick Brass
- Middle: Die-cast Aluminum
- Bottom: Heavyweight Rubber damping
High-Sensitivity Tonearm
The SL-1300G utilizes a static-balance S-shaped tonearm, a Technics tradition. The tonearm pipe is made of lightweight, high-rigidity aluminum. Mounted on a high-precision gimbal suspension construction with machined housing and high-precision bearings, it achieves a high initial motion sensitivity, tracing the grooves of your favorite vinyl with surgical precision.
