This course is OPEN TO EVERYONE.
However, it is a pre-requisite for students entering into the ROOTED IN SOUND ACADEMY CANADA 2026 program, which has two start dates: Saturday, February 21 or Saturday, May 9. The Rooted in Sound Academy is limited to 10 students. If you enjoy the Essence, sign up for the Academy while spots are still available. When you register for Rooted in Sound Academy, your $350 investment in this course will be applied towards your tuition.
About the Course:
The Essence of Sound is a great introduction to sound. It is also the way to prepare for our comprehensive Rooted in Sound Academy Program. We require students to complete this Prerequisite Course before attending the Core Program:
In this full day workshop you will:
- Embark on a journey to demystify sound healing, delving into its therapeutic applications, the profound impact it has on our well-being, and its rich historical roots across various cultures.
- Explore the intricate relationship between sound and healing, shedding light on how vibrations interact with the body's Chakra System, meridians, and reflex zones.
- Join us as we uncover the foundational principles behind this ancient practice, bridging the gap between art and science, and unlocking the secrets of sound healing.
The day will be divided into 4 sections, each section being around 1 hour and 30 minutes long with breaks in between. There will be a lunch break at midday.
First Module: Introduction to Sound Therapy

Wyatt is the owner, and founder of Pittsburgh’s Rooted In Sound. Wyatt offers a customized wellness experience using coaching, acoustic induced meditation, and life changing experiences. He uses the natural environment, bowls, gongs, bells, and more to access your innate inner wisdom, he creates an environment that produces real and lasting change. Wyatt also infuses Reiki, Nada Yoga, and other energy and meditation techniques to help with relaxation and transformation.
