The ASK-4 #631 Audio Monitoring Kit from Louroe Electronics is a single-zone audio monitoring system with a wall-mounted mute switch designed for making a direct connection to a DVR or VCR, IP network camera, PC soundcard, video server, or other audio receiving devices that accept line level audio (0 dB @ 600?). This kit consists of an MS-1 Mute Switch, an IF-1 Interface Adapter, a Verifact A Microphone, an AD-1 Plug-in Switching AC Adapter, a 3.5mm Stereo Cable for connection to a sound card, IP network camera, or video server with stereo audio input, an RCA to 3.5mm Mono Adapter for connection to an IP camera, and a Single RCA Cable for connecting to a DVR, VCR, etc.
The IF-1 Audio Interface Adapter serves as an interconnection device between a Louroe electret condenser microphone and a DVR / VCR, computer soundcard, or an IP network camera or video server with audio. The input side features a terminal block to receive wiring from the microphone and a jack for 12VDC power input. The output side features 2 types of connections to accommodate almost all recording device audio inputs: An RCA output for connecting to a DVR / VCR with an RCA input, and a 3.5mm (mini jack) stereo output for connecting to a computer soundcard or DVR with a 3.5mm stereo audio input. The IF-1 Interface Adapter also has variable gain adjustment to prevent overdriving of the audio signal. Connector cables for output of IF-1 Interface Adapter to input of recording device are also included.
The Verifact A Microphone is an omni-directional, low-impedance, electret condenser microphone with a built-in preamp for producing line level output. It is housed in a high-impact ABS dome designed for ceiling or wall mounting. The normal pick-up pattern is approximately 15' (4.57m) from the microphone location towards all directions or within a 30' diameter circle. It is suitable for use in convenience stores, fast food restaurants, booking rooms, interrogation rooms, day care centers, sleep disorder centers, therapy labs, cashier booths, gas stations, or anyplace where CCTV cameras are installed.
The MS-1 Mute Switch is an accessory to Louroe Audio Monitoring / Audio Surveillance systems when microphone muting is required. The MS-1 contains a built-in rocker switch mounted to a single-gang stainless steel face plate. When the top part of the rocker switch is pressed IN, the rocker switch illuminates with a red light, indicating that the microphone is live and active. When the lower part of the switch is pressed IN, the illumination of the switch turns OFF, indicating that power to the microphone is cut off and the microphone is disabled. The MS-1 Mute Switch fits into a single-gang backbox (sold separately) for mounting to a wall or flat surface.
Note: Wiring Requirements: 2-conductor shielded cable, 22 gauge with a 24 gauge drain wire. Unshielded cables are not suitable for audio systems.
When this equipment is used as part of an audio monitoring system, the law requires that the public be given notice of AUDIO MONITORING ON THE PREMISES. A decal notice is included with each microphone shipped.
