Carrera y Carrera 18K Gold and Diamond Origen Spiral Ring

This brand new Carrera y Carrera ring features 11 diamonds in a lyrical 18k gold setting. The ring has a flowy motif akin to scrolling foliate, with wheat-like bars that cross over each other and undulate in an aesthetically pleasing form. The diamonds are placed along a spiral center opening in the ring. The ring has a great wide width that is beautifully balanced by the openwork in its motif—giving the ring wonderful presence on the hand while remaining feminine and whimsical. The ring is part of Carrera y Carrera’s Origen design and is a perfect example of the unique and lyrical designs Carrera y Carrera are known for. 

Carrera y Carrera is a Spanish jewelry company founded in 1885 in the Barrio de las Letras neighborhood of Madrid. It has become a pillar of the Spanish jewelry community. We sourced this ring on a recent trip to Spain. 

The ring contains 11 diamonds that graduate in size from 1.5 - 2mm. In total, there is approximately 0.2 carats of diamonds. The ring’s width is 1/2” at its widest point and 1/8” at its narrowest point. It weighs 6.9 grams. It is marked on the inside with 750 for 18k gold, the maker’s mark CYC, and the serial # 545119. 

Circa 2010, this ring is new old stock.
