To pull the painful bitter roots, means accepting our humanity and the limits of our vision, allowing us to grow in freedom. To do that, we have to pull the weeds, and tackle the thorns, even though it hurts.

As we talked about the pain of loss, I wanted to express that as weeds and thorns bind and choke a garden, so too, un-forgiveness and bitterness bind the heart and soul. To pull the painful bitter roots, means accepting our humanity and the limits of our vision, allowing us to grow in freedom.

To do that, we have to pull the weeds, and tackle the thorns, even though it hurts. There is truth, in that hurt; for any loss we experience. But most important there is hope.

My interpretation of the meanings for these flowers are as follows:
The blue hyacinths represent sorrow
The baby's breath symbolizes a life gone too soon
The daffodils, beauty, light and hope.
