Overview

The Saramonic UwMic9 RX9+TX9+TX9 is a portable, dual-channel, camera-mountable UHF wireless system that provides stellar, broadcast-quality sound and enables you to use clip-on lavalier mics on two separate people while only requiring you to attach a single ultra-compact receiver to your camera. This system is perfect for DSLRs, video cameras or portable audio recorders for capturing interviews, film dialog, field recording, broadcast TV, news gathering, vlogging, YouTube videos and more. Every component features sturdy metal construction and delivers excellent sound quality in a low-cost package. The entire kit is ultra-compact, lightweight, and easy to bring with you on every shoot.

The UwMic9 is remarkably easy to use. It works right out of the box. You just plug in the mics, turn on the power and go. It utilizes the UHF (Ultra High Frequency) spectrum, which helps you avoid interference, and its 514-596 MHz range is not impacted by the FCC’s ban of the 600 MHz frequencies. An automatic-scan feature locates the best available channel for you and the infrared synchronization makes the process a snap. There are 96 channels available, which enables you to run multiple sets of UwMic9 systems at the same time without issues. Easy-to-read backlit LCD displays on both of the transmitters and the receiver let you make quick adjustments to the intuitive menus in the brightest or darkest environments. The RX9 receiver also includes a headphone output, enabling real-time audio monitoring if your camera lacks a headphone output.

Locking 1/8” (3.5mm) mini-plug and XLR output cables are both included so you can use the UwMic9 with DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, cinema cameras, camcorders, professional video cameras, audio recorders and more. This flexible system can also be used to transmit line-level audio, such as an output from a mixer. This can be useful at weddings and other events where you need to wirelessly record crystal-clear audio from a soundboard in addition to running a wireless mic.

The power button on the TX9 beltpack transmitter can easily be set to “locked” to prevent it from accidentally being turned off when in use. If the person wearing the clip-on lavalier microphone needs privacy, a quick push of a button turns on a muting feature, and a flashing red LED reminds you to unmute it afterward. The system offers an impressive operating range of up to 330-feet (100m).

Another great benefit is that the UwMic9 system is expandable. Optional transmitters and output cables (sold separately) are available, giving you unrivaled flexibility. They make it possible to add a wireless handheld microphone or a wireless plug-on transmitter, and to connect the included RX9 receiver to smartphones, tablets, computers, GoPro cameras and more.
