A fine 1799 map of Batavia or the United Dutch States (the Netherlands) by the English map publisher Clement Cruttwell. Map is highly detailed, with counties and municipalities outlined. Of note on this particular map are the canals and dikes Cruttwell labeled. These are extremely important to the country, as two thirds of the land is vulnerable to flooding. River dikes prevent flooding from water flowing into the country by the major rivers Rhine and Meuse, while a system of drainage ditches, canals and pumping stations (windmills) keep the low lying parts dry for habitation and agriculture. The Beemster, as Cruttwell notes in Northern Holland, was the first of these and was reclaimed from a lake, the water having been extracted by windmills. He also labels what is known as the De Breeveertien (De Bree Veerthien) a large offshore shoal in the North Sea now home to an important wind farm. In North Holland he identifies Zuyder Zee, which at this point in time was a shallow bay in the North Sea. In the 20th century the majority of the Zuyder Zee was closed off and the salt water inlet changed into a fresh water lake called the Ijsselmeer (IJssel-lake), named thus after the river that drains into it. The whole offers hand color and fine copper plate engraving in the minimalist English style prevalent in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Drawn by G. G. and J. Robinson of Paternoster Row, London, for Clement Cruttwell's 1799 Atlas to Cruttwell's Gazetteer.

Excellent RV Extension Cord – Heavy Duty Quality and Best Value for Power Needs!
Size: 25-Foot, Style: 90° Locking End
The Camco Power Grip 25-Ft 50 Amp RV Extension Cord has been absolutely essential for our RV camping adventures! As full-time RVers who frequently encounter campground electrical pedestals that are inconveniently located, this heavy-duty extension cord has solved countless site setup challenges. The 50 amp capacity handles our RV's full electrical load including air conditioning, and the 25-foot length gives us the flexibility to position our rig exactly where we want it. What impressed me most is the exceptional build quality and safety features. The cord feels substantial and professional-grade, clearly designed to handle the demanding electrical requirements of modern RVs. The 90° locking end is genius—it keeps the connection secure and reduces strain on both the cord and the pedestal connection, which is especially important during windy conditions or when other campers accidentally bump into it. The Power Grip handles make connecting and disconnecting so much easier and safer, especially in wet conditions or when wearing gloves. The cord is rated for 125/250V and 12,500W, giving me complete confidence that it can safely handle our RV's maximum electrical demands without overheating or voltage drop issues that can damage sensitive electronics. For such a heavy-duty, professional-quality 50 amp RV extension cord with excellent safety features, the price was absolutely the best value I found anywhere. RV dealers charge much more for comparable cords with fewer features. I'm very likely to buy a second one as backup and have recommended it to fellow RVers in our camping group. This cord has made campground electrical connections so much more convenient and reliable! Solid 5 stars!
