I had always searched the Rocky Mountain douglas fir trees for this large owl during the hike up to my former studio in Montana, hoping for a glimpse of its wise and dignified face. During the day, I listened for magpies as they often would harass the owls, screaming at them with their raucous calls as if they were having a bitter one-sided argument. My niece loved them. So many of the slips in shoes are too stiff and tight, this one was easy on, not stiff or tight, just perfect!
