We make our lampshades by mounting fabric (or sometimes paper like our map lamps) to lampcrafter's styrene, and trim the shade edges with grosgrain ribbon. Our lamps have an 8 foot cord with a switch near the base, and are weighted underneath. 40 watt maximum bulb if using incandescent, or go brighter with a cool burning LED bulb. These lamps are made to order in my sweet little studio in New York's Hudson Valley. We have been professionally making lamps for over 25 years and have sold to countless shops and catalogs across the US.
