Product Description: This Enlisted Kriegsmarine Parade Tunic is an outstanding example, with great eye appeal. This pattern of tunic, known to the sailors as the “Affenjacke,” was worn for formal occasions. This one is an enlisted issue version, made of a fine dark blue wool fabric. The front of this tunic is complete with all of its original gilt finish Kriegsmarine fouled anchor buttons, as well as a nice machine embroidered breast eagle which is hand applied. The button chain front closure is not present or included within the purchase as a (leather strip) is shown where it once hung. The wearer’s left sleeve is adorned with one patch (missing one) previous threads indicate there was once a shoulder patch previously removed. This tunic is exceptionally clean, with only very light traces of wear and use including… one small “whitish” stain on the left sleeve. The overall condition is excellent and ready for display!

Historical Description: About 1.5 million men served in the German War Navy (Kriegsmarine) between 1939 and 1945. These men were equipped with a wide range of uniform garments for their often extremely challenging duties. There were standard service uniforms, dress uniforms, and a large variety of work clothing, from simple linen HBT garments worn by dock workers to leather jackets and trousers for duty on board seagoing vessels. Specialized coats and headgear were devised to keep sailors going in marine environments that were often cold and wet. There were tropical uniforms as well, for sailors serving in more southern latitudes. Many of these uniforms were adorned with insignia that indicated a sailor’s rank as well as his specialty or position. Officers typically procured their own uniforms, at their expense. Soldiers serving in Coastal Artillery units of the Kriegsmarine wore field gray uniforms, of wool or HBT, with distinctive Kriegsmarine insignia and buttons. Collectors today seek out and prize WWII German Kriegsmarine uniforms for their historic importance.

Amazing product, definitely recommend!
Initially I was very skeptical about buying this product and kept talking myself out of it, did that a few times. I was under the impression that this was just an incredibly well orchestrated marketing campaign(it kept popping up all over social media) and people just out there overhyping it all. Yesterday I finally decided to give it a try and I have to say, BOY WAS I WRONG, this is probably the best hair product I’ve used in 15 years. Gives a natural matte look to your hair, it’s not greasy, gives plenty of volume and holds your styling in place in a very natural manner. The product also smells pretty good, HIGHLY recommend if you’re having doubts.

It delivers, but damn is it expensive
This product mainly shines because everything available at a brick and mortar shop is terrible - at least for men. This is great stuff, great hold without being greasy or turning your hair into spikes. No pungent odors. It's noted that it includes pine and sandalwood oil. There's definitely some pine, not getting any sandalwood. Regardless, it isn't a strong scent and that's how it should be. The tin is almost exactly the size of a snuff can. Expensive. But you don't really use much of it at one time.

2 complaints, otherwise great
This is a mostly great product. I only have 2 complaints - it’s really difficult to wash out, and the price. In my experience shampoo alone will not wash it out at all. Two-in-one products don't work. I have to use: 1. a shampoo 2. a conditioner 3. a shampoo again 4. More conditioner It does a really great job compared to other clays. I have short somewhat thin hair and it provides volume. It gives me the hold. I need all day. It smells great and it’s easy to work with. I wish it was cheaper. I feel like I’m paying extra for a cool looking tin. All that being said, I will be repeat customer

Just Okay...
This is an okay product. It works well for the first hour or two but then makes my hair very greasy - it feels like I haven't washed it in weeks. It's fairly sticky, which is great, but again it only lasts 2-3 hours for me before making my hair greasy. It smells great - I'll give them that. I'm glad it works for others but it's just not right for me.

Clay-Like Texture, All-Day Control
When my go-to pomade was discontinued, I had to start the search all over again. After seeing several ads for Highland Glacial Hair Clay Pomade on social media, I decided to give it a try and ordered a tin. Right out of the can, you can tell this product is different. It’s very thick—almost like actual clay. At first, I wasn’t sure how it would work with my shorter hair. Pro tip: lightly wet your hands before working it in. Once you add a little moisture and warm it up between your fingers, it spreads much more easily and evenly. Applying it to damp hair makes styling smooth and straightforward. When first applied, the hold feels strong and structured. As the day goes on, it relaxes slightly but still keeps your hair in place without looking stiff or overly styled. I appreciate that it maintains shape while allowing a more natural finish as the hours pass. It is more expensive than some other options out there, but in my opinion, the performance justifies the price. For reference, my hair is short—slightly longer than a typical military regulation cut—so this review reflects how it performs on shorter styles. Overall, I’m happy with the switch and would recommend Highland Glacial Hair Clay Pomade to anyone looking for a strong, workable hold with a natural feel.
