The X-Dream has been updated to increase the performance, versatility and possibilities for customization on what is already the best performing and most versatile ice tool on the market. The connection between the shaft and the handle allows the user to rotate the handle between ice and mixed modes using new hardware and a rubberized connection that allows for quick, secure adjustment without removing the screw. In ice mode, the angles are 48° and 100° respectively for a natural swing that delivers solid sticks with minimal effort. In dry mode, the angles are 60° and 105° for a more closed geometry that provides greater downward traction and better ergonomics on super steep terrain. At the head, the tool can be customized with four different picks, hammer or adze, and head weights that can be adjusted or removed.

The Omni pick that comes standard on the tool is the best for vertical ice and mixed terrain. It is combined with the X-Hammer Lite hammer and the 40 gram X-Weight head weights for the best performance on vertical ice right out of the box. The Ice pick brings the tip 6 mm closer to the handle, but maintains the same geometry as the Omni pick. The Hard Mixte pick is made from Armox Advance ballistic steel and features a more aggressive tooth configuration for better durability, strength and grip on mixed terrain. The Total Dry 2.0 pick is also made from Armox Advance ballistic steel and features geometry specifically designed for dry tooling along with a constant 4 mm thickness for maximum strength. The interior shape of the handle has been updated to more naturally fit hands of all sizes and the X-Finger Evo allows for millimetric trigger finger customization. The low-profile spike is optimized for big mountain terrain and can be easily removed with a single bolt. The shaft is rubberized with the new X-Grip Evo for better insulation and grip.
