Octavia is a two tone, vintage inspired portrait of a woman. This series captures the natural and confident beauty of women. 

Angela Seear's female portraits are slightly abstracted so that they don't represent one specific person. Angela wants the viewer to recognize people they personally know and admire in the portrait, so that the painting has more personal meaning to them. In its essence, the painting represents the beauty and strength of all women. 

The darker tone is textured with a plaster finish and is slightly raised compared to the lighter color, which has been painted flat on the wood panel. The painting and the texture continue around the sides of the painting, so leaving it unframed looks great or you could frame it with a floating frame. 

Octavia has a strong presence in a room but the toned down colors make it much softer. The two textures create contrast as you move past the painting, with the light hitting the surface in different ways. The painting would sit well in a number of different interior styles.

The painting is created with artist quality acrylics and plaster medium on an exhibition grade wood panel. It is wired and ready to hang or be framed. It arrives shipped in a box.
