Wouldn’t it be great to have one rule you could grab knowing you could reference from either end, measure in either inches or millimeters and locate the center of anything instantly? Well, now you can. With the Woodpeckers HexScale Rule, you get six different graduations in one handy rule. Those of us old enough to remember when woodworking plans were drawn on a drafting table instead of a computer will also remember a triangular rule that was graduated with several different ratio scales and a normal inch scale. Woodpeckers has borrowed that shape to give you the six most useful graduations for woodworking all in one tool. Measure from right to left and left to right in inches or millimeters and locate the center of anything in either system. Not only does HexScale put all the rules you need into one, its distinctive shape gets the laser-engraved scales right down on your material, virtually eliminating parallax viewing error.
In day-to-day layout work, left-to-right is the most familiar to woodworkers. With zero at the left edge of the rule the scale increases toward the right. Occasionally, a measurement needs to start from the right side, instead of the left. A familiar example of this is your table saw, where most often you need to measure from the rip fence on the right to the edge of the blade.
Whether for hardware mounting or joinery, woodworkers often need the center of a board. A centering scale takes all the math out of the equation. Just adjust the rule so the same measurement lines up on both edges and the zero will be at the exact center of the material. You can then either mark center or layout points the same distance on either side of center.
All three options mentioned above are on the HexScale in both inch and metric graduations. The scales are organized to help those of us trying to become fluent in metric. If you’re looking at a scale in inches, roll the HexScale one time and the equivalent metric scale will replace it.
Woodpeckers HexScale comes with a HexScale Stop that’s designed to perfectly fit the rule’s profile for repetitive marking. Just slide it on, adjust it to the dimension you want and mark as many items as you need.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the HexScale is precisely machined and carefully inspected in their Strongsville, Ohio, facility just south of Cleveland.

Did not last
Color: Orange
Disapointing, thought toy would last longer. Lucy is a very small puppy. I recharged about five times, then toy would not recharge... it died.

Not good for heavy chewers.
Color: Orange
Granted, my dog is very big. 95 lbs, however the ball was advertised as good for large dogs. The first day of play, he chewed the outer covering off. The ball still works fine, so if it doesn’t matter if it keeps the outer covering in tack, it will be fine.

Boredom Buster
Color: Green
This ball has been a boredom buster lifesaver. On the first day my 15 week golden retriever puppy played with it for a good 2 hours straight. I was nervous he would immediately get bored with it but nope, he searches for it every day. It has helped with his puppy teething, he's more likely to play with this ball than come up and use my hand/arm/clothes to teethe on. The battery lasts a good amount of time and is quick to charge but I did wish it lasted a bit longer. Overall I'm very happy. We live in a top floor apartment but the noise doesn't seem to be too bad for the neighbors. It's good quality and seems durable.
Edit: The velcro for the sleeve wears out within a couple uses. It keeps falling off. It was my puppies FAV thing about the toy because of the pull tag thing. So now it's ineffective for him. Not sure if there's a way to get a new sleeve or not.

One of the best dog toys I’ve bought off Amazon in a long time
Color: Green
My dog Rosie is a heavy tower so it is difficult to find balls she doesn’t destroy quickly. I came across this item on Amazon and it is honestly one of the best pet toys I’ve ever bought on Amazon. After a long day of work sometimes I come home and Rosie has a lot of energy. I turn this ball on fast mode and she has so much fun. I do worry about how much shaking in her mouth. I don’t wanna give her a headache, lol but there’s also a slow mode that you can press for the ball to slowly move around, but it’s a really good toy and I’m happy. I purchased it if you have a heavy tower, I wouldn’t worry about them breaking it because we’ve had it for a couple weeks now and she’s doing great.

Not indestructible, but dogs love it
Color: Green
My dog LOVES this toy. Unfortunately, she loves it so much she destroys it. I have now purchased FOUR of these, but if left unattended for 5 minutes, my American terrier breaks this apart. She loves it so much though, I keep buying replacements. This is a wonderful enrichment toy, but you must keep an eye on your toothy friend.
