A rich and heartfelt early‑70s soul album, Super Bad captures The O’Jays before their Philadelphia International breakthrough, delivering a warm blend of harmony‑driven vocals, socially aware songwriting and classic soul arrangements. Reissued by Soulgramma, this edition brings renewed attention to a lesser‑known but beautifully expressive chapter in the group’s catalogue.
Pressed in Europe and housed in a clean LP sleeve, the album features standout cuts such as Now He’s Home, Crossroads of Life, Shattered Man and a soulful take on Never Can Say Goodbye. A superb deep‑soul addition for collectors and fans of The O’Jays’ pre‑Gamble & Huff era.
