This planter features a yellow swan with pastel pink, blue and white wings, the swan is hollow with an opening on its back to plant your flowers in. Also on the back of this yellow swan is a blonde cherub angel with pastel blue and white wings, both the swan and angel wings have dark green detailing. This swan planter is for small plants as it measures about "5.
This is a vintage 1945-1952 Occupied Japan hand-painted porcelain swan & angel planter. This planter features a yellow swan with pastel pink, blue and white wings, the swan is hollow with an opening on its back to plant your flowers in. Also on the back of this yellow swan is a blonde cherub angel with pastel blue and white wings, both the swan and angel wings have dark green detailing. This swan planter is for small plants as it measures about "5.5in long, "2.5in wide and a little under "4in tall with a depth of about "1.5in. On the bottom of the swan a painted stamp reads "made in occupied Japan". This item has a few minor flaws such as a blue drop of paint atop the angels head and a chip on the angels thumb, as well as some age spots particularly on the swans head.

The construction is nice and the color and size are good. I like that it has functional pockets.
