I've been doing this for 20 years and it has never failed to garner strong reaction wherever it is shown. I recently performed it at the local magic club. Here's what the club president, Matt Brandt, had to say:"When Mark pulled the Red Snapper out of his pocket, I must admit more than a few eyebrows were raised, but what followed was 5 solid minutes of very funny, magical entertainment. He was able to entertain the whole room of magicians with the humblest of props. It was simply amazing to see how much mileage he could get out of a prop that fills the bottom of many a magi's junk drawer. Watching the routine made me reconsider what other hidden gems could be hiding in my drawer. Mark's use of the Red Snapper proves that SMART and SIMPLE, are superior to expensive and complicated."
That's right, the Red Snapper. This is my routine and handling of something that many have but very few actually do. And even then, the vast majority of those who do use it don't have an actual routine as such. It's one of those props that seems to defy not only routining but having a routine that actually builds. There are very few Snapper routines in print and none of them have the spectator being successful in making the Snapper do its thing. This routine is the lone exception.
Plus, there is an actual finish to this routine that no one will see coming. The entire routine is loaded with laughs and bits of business. It's a ton of fun.
The Red Snapper takes no room in your case and is always ready to go. You can do this 1-on-1, or I have worked this for crowds of up to 100 people with no problem. There is no reset of any kind. There are no bad angles. There is no sleight of hand. The premise is very novel and easy to understand. Plus, this routine is way funny. The laughs are automatic. This belongs in your repertoire!
You get the complete routine along with handling tips, care and feeding of your Snapper and a brief history of this wonderful little prop. Oh! You also get a Red Snapper!

Vader when he still is Anakin
Format: Paperback
This comic picks up right where Episode III left off. Like directly. There's the whole "Noooooooooo" thing and everything. I liked seeing Vader when he is new to being a Sith. It really is Anakin under there still. Throughout the comic, that Anakin begins to fall away.
I liked the mix of prequel and original trilogy aesthetic. Seeing Vader alongside clone troopers was very cool. The Grand Inquisitor even makes a cameo!
I read the Dark Horse comics that took place right after Order 66 so certain aspects of this comic remind me of those. In this comic, there are jedi who took the Barash Vow prior to the Purge, so they are still out and about in the galaxy. Vader takes this opportunity to take a lightsaber and make it bleed.
I really enjoyed this first volume in a new, ongoing comic series. I am absolutely excited for volume two. I give this volume a 5/5.

The Lord Vader Treatment
Format: Kindle
Love this Darth perspective. It potentially fills in some gaps in the timeline in the beginning of his transition. Loved the humor and the art.

Exciting and fast paced
Format: Kindle
Loved the stories within stories flashbacks. It all ties in nicely in the end and leaves a cool cliffhanger. The art is fantastic and so is the sifting in of beloved Star Wars characters from the past. Good storyline to follow!

Great way to add even more depth to Black Spire Outpost
Format: Paperback
Having just visited Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, I really enjoyed learning more layers of depth and stories from there with this collection of comics. Having read "A Crash of Fate" and "Black Spire" was a great way to do that as well, but this was obviously a quicker read, and also spanned many different times and with some different characters, too. Great for readers with shorter attention spans, too! Recommended!

A great tie-in to the Disney parks
Format: Paperback
Welcome to the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu! I haven't been yet, but you may have if you've recently visited Disney World or Disney Land. There's obviously a lot of references to how the actual park looks. The cover featured the Millenium Falcon just like the actual attraction.
This graphic novel tells one story focusing on one of the original characters made for the parks: Dok-Ondar. Within the big story there are four smaller tales being retold. Han Solo deals with a baby sarlacc. Greedo's ego is showcased. Hando comes in contact with the Guardians of the Whills. And, Doctor Aphra travels to the Sith Homeworld of Moraband. Each of these stories show off different aspects of the park that you can see for yourself if you go in person. This is what Star Wars does so well, making connections and building a big lived-in world.
There are plenty of wonderful references. Ki-Adi-Mundi and Chirrut are just two of my favorites. Dok-Ondar is the true star of this book. He's an underworld mastermind.
I give this book a 3.5/5. It's full of fun stories with connections to the park and featured characters from different eras. This definitely is a tie-in story, though.
