COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Develop Workplace Trainer Competencies course. This program will equip you with the knowledge, frameworks, and professional standards required to build, assess, and strengthen the capabilities of workplace trainers. You will explore what trainer competencies are, how they are built from knowledge and skill, and how they are measured to ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery. This course also examines the competency models, checklists, and development planning practices that underpin trainer excellence across diverse organisational contexts.

This course begins by defining trainer competencies and exploring how competencies are constructed through the integration of knowledge, practical skills, and the behavioural attributes necessary for effective training. You will examine how competencies are measured, the steps required to set up a competency measurement process, and how organisations ensure reliability, validity, and fairness in assessing trainer performance. This section also introduces the competencies required of trainers and the competency model checklist for the trainer, along with guidance on how to use the trainer competency model checklists to support development. You will review the expanded competency checklist for trainers and explore the difference between basic and advanced competencies as trainers progress from foundational to expert capability.

The next learning area examines the core (basic) trainer competencies in detail. You will explore the basic competency for preparing instructions, the basic competency for setting a learning environment, and the basic competency for using adult learning principles. This section also reviews the basic competencies involved in delivering training, including using lectures, conducting discussions, facilitating exercises, conducting demonstrations, using role play, giving feedback to learners, and using audio-visuals effectively. You will explore the basic competency for administering tests and evaluating skill performance, along with the basic competencies for handling problem learners, managing appropriate use of technology, promoting learning transfer, conducting learning online, and recommending course modifications.

A further section expands the focus to advanced trainer competencies. You will examine the advanced competency for preparing instructions, setting a learning environment, and using adult learning principles to meet the needs of diverse learner groups. This section also explores advanced competencies for using lectures with strategic impact, conducting deeper and more complex discussions, and facilitating exercises, case studies, games, and simulations that drive applied learning. You will examine advanced competencies for conducting demonstrations, using role play effectively, and giving nuanced, developmental feedback. You will also review the advanced competencies for using audio-visuals, administering tests and evaluating skill performance, handling problem learners through advanced facilitation skills, and managing appropriate use of technology for both in-person and virtual learning environments. This section concludes with advanced competencies for promoting learning transfer, conducting learning online at a high instructional standard, and recommending course modifications with evidence-based reasoning.

The final learning area focuses on long-term trainer development. You will explore how to build a trainer development plan, how to prioritise competency gaps, how to monitor progress, and how organisations can provide structured pathways for trainer growth. This section highlights how ongoing development ensures that trainers remain current, effective, adaptable, and aligned with organisational goals and learning needs.

By the end of this course you will be able to understand, assess, and apply trainer competencies; differentiate between basic and advanced performance levels; use competency checklists for professional development; strengthen instructional practice; manage learner engagement; integrate technology effectively; evaluate performance; and create a structured trainer development plan that supports continuous improvement and excellence in workplace training.

2nd time is a charm
Size: 1 Quart, Style: 6-Pack, Configuration: Euro LX 0W-30
I purchased this for a DIY oil change on my wife's Infiniti QX30 (power train sourced from Mercedes). Doing it myself, I saved about $70 over the dealership's advertised synthetic oil change. I actually enjoy this type of maintenance work, and I get to pick the parts and fluids used. And I like Pennzoil synthetics better than several other domestic brands. However, the package as received showed that there was oil leaking from one or more bottles. Amazon had kept the oil in the original Pennzoil case, so Amazon was not to blame for the leakage. I immediately opened the case and cleaned and inspected each quart. Several had caps that were not on tight! I think that overall more than 1/8 of a quart had leaked. I'm glad I was home when the package was delivered, otherwise I would have had an oil stain on my front porch concrete floor. Now that would have really p...ed me off! So Pennzoil needs to better seal their quart bottles (QA issue?) and Amazon should check for this type of issue (it was obvious on the outer Amazon box) and not deliver when there are signs of leakage. Update - 8/11/23 Purchased a second time for my annual oil change on the QX30. This time the case was delivered without leakage. Buying from Amazon is a big time saver, as the Euro LX 0W30 is difficult to find at retail.

Best oil choice for exotics that take this blend
Size: 1 Quart, Style: 6-Pack, Configuration: Euro LX 0W-30
This is the closest thing to Mopar oil specifically made for exotics. I use it in my Alfa Romeo when I can't find Mopar for a decent price. 8000+ miles before an oil change is required

This is very hard to find item.
Size: 1 Quart, Style: 6-Pack, Configuration: Euro LX 0W-30
This is one of the lowest VOC oils. Important if your vehicle is GDI. Should help keep valves cleaner.

Went with a 30 weight because of ambient temperatures
Size: 1 Quart, Style: 6-Pack, Configuration: Euro LX 0W-30
Running this in my wife's 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. We live in Arizona and 100+ temps is normal thing. Did a lot of research on this before I decided on running a 30 weight, technically a 40 weight is recommended for our temperature. I noticed that her car was rattling on startup and was worse when it was a hot start. After switching to a 0w-30 I noticed the noise was substantially less. Fuel mileage was not changed she's still averaging 32mpg with her manual transmission vehicle. I've done my research and yes I know about staying with the factory recommended weight but we don't see subzero temperature and we are definitely not seeing the the average 80f summers. 40Fwinters and 105F summers are the norm here. Yes ambient temps effect oil decisions. I also prefer Euro Spec oils over SAE because of Europes extended drain intervals of 10-12k miles. I change every 5k or 6 months.
