Juin Tech F1/M1 Hydraulic Cable Pull Disc Brake Set - Flat/Post mountThese superlight disc brakes are perfect for junior riders! The only real downside of disc brakes is their weight, so selecting a lightweight set is important. Its not just about weight. These superlight disc brakes are perfect for junior riders! The only real downside of disc brakes is their weight, so selecting a lightweight set is important.

Its not just about weight. Yes, these are some of the lightest disc brakes available (designed for adults) but they're also a closed hydraulic circuit design, providing hydraulic power where it's needed at the pistons, but cable actuated, so they can still be used with short-reach shifters needed by children. That's important as many full hydraulic systems can provide too much stopping power for low rider weights, using larger, more difficult shifters with hydraulic reservoirs.

The Juin tech F1/M1 hydraulic cable pull disc brake set offers a unique solution to the road/gravel/cyclocross/MTB rider wanting to upgrade from mechanical cable pull disc brakes. The F1/M1 is the latest addition to the Juin Tech stable, sold as a set including mounting bolts, adaptors and rotors.

The brake pads operate by a cable actuated closed hydraulic mineral oil system. This allows you to use your normal sti/ergo levers on a disc brake bike without the expense of upgrading everything to accommodate a full hydraulic set up.

Braking performance is enhanced over a mechanical disc brakes with easy pad and cable adjustment. The pistons actuate in a parallel motion unlike the one sided movement of a mechanical disc brake and at approx. 142grams per calliper they offer a substantial weight saving.

The Juin Tech F1 Flat Mount Disc Brake Set (Road/Gravel/CX) comes complete with the following:

  • 2 x hydraulic Flat Mount cable actuated calipers, inc pads
  • Flat Mount front Adapter
  • 2 x M5 x 16 bolts and washers - Front
  • 2 x M5 x 44 bolts & washers
  • 2 x M5 x 34 bolts & washers

  • 2 x M5 x 29 bolts & washers
  • 2 x 160mm Stainless Steel Rotors (6 Bolt IS)
  • 12 x torq screws to mount rotors
  • Weight: 142grams per caliper approx

The Juin Tech M1 Post Mount Disc Brake Set (MTB) comes complete with the following:

  • 4 x Postmount bolts & washers
  • 2 x 160mm Stainless Steel Rotors (6 Bolt IS)

Works as intended
Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs
These banana plugs are quite easy to use, and securely connected my speaker cables to the receiver. They have a quality feel as well.

Tips broke in the binding post
Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs, Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs
UPDATE: Two tips broke off when unplugging them from the binding post and are now lodged in. Inexcusable and an utterly poor product. Solid connection in the binding post with no wobble or wiggle. They require some force to insert into the binding post, but once they're in they remain snug. I also tried removing and reinserting a few times and the connection remained solid. I've used other plugs in the past that have a softer tip and easily deform after one or two insertions. These do not have that issue.

Does the job, easy use, a bit bulky not exactly as described
Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs
Bare wire can be intolerable to work with. Banana plugs make a positive secure connection. These plugs are a touch bulky. Nice to not have to deal with small screws. Use as large of gauge wire as possible. The description says no unintentional disconnections. I beg to differ the bite of teeth aren’t as good as described. Used a 16 gauge pure copper speaker wire and a teenager taught me how secure the wire really is by tugging on the wire not the banana plug pulling the wire free. It does the job, it’s not the latest and greatest. If you need easy get these. If you want slim secure banana plugs buy the small screw type.
