The SolarEdge U650B Power Optimizer is a USA-manufactured, module-level DC power optimizer designed for residential solar systems using SolarEdge inverters. With support for high open-circuit voltage (Voc) modules and extended output voltage, it provides improved design flexibility for complex, multifaceted roofs while reducing yield factor losses. It delivers 99.5% efficiency, mitigates all types of module mismatch loss, and features patented Sense Connect arc prevention and SafeDC™ module-level voltage shutdown for installer and firefighter safety.
Key Features & Benefits
USA-Manufactured: Eligible for domestic content tax credit when paired with certain SolarEdge inverters.
Supports High Voc Modules: Handles modules with open-circuit voltage up to 100V, providing greater design flexibility.
Extended Output Voltage (80V): Reduces yield factor losses on complex, multifaceted roofs.
99.5% Superior Efficiency: Maximizes energy harvest by mitigating mismatch losses from shading, soiling, and manufacturing tolerances.
Sense Connect Arc Prevention: Patented technology automatically detects and prevents potential electric arcs at the connector level before an arc is created.
SafeDC™ Module-Level Shutdown: Reduces output voltage to 1V per optimizer when disconnected from the inverter, providing installer and firefighter safety.
Flexible System Design: Allows parallel strings of different lengths and orientations for maximum space utilization.
Simplified Installation: Faster wire management and easy assembly using a single bolt.
Compatible with High-Powered and Bifacial Modules: Supports a wide range of modern PV modules.
Meets NEC Requirements: Compliant with arc fault protection (AFCI) and Photovoltaic Rapid Shutdown System (PVRSS) per NEC 2014–2023.
IP68 / NEMA 6P Rated: Fully sealed against water and dust for long-term outdoor reliability.
25-Year Warranty: Backed by a 25-year warranty.
