Patrick Petite is trusted by everyone as the new mayor of Sylvanian Village. He's always thinking of things to do for the village and making sure that everybody in Sylvanian Village is OK. It's a busy job, but he always says that when he sees his wife Margaret's smile, he doesn't feel tired anymore. Patrick is also the head teacher of the Sylvanian Village school. He knows a lot about the stars and takes his pupils to the observatory to look at the night sky and learn about the constellations. Every morning, he stands at the entrance to the school and greets each pupil as they arrive.
Margaret Petite is very polite, and is good at teaching the children table manners. She's not prim and proper during her manners lessons - she has such a cheerful smile that even the naughtiest children will listen to her and learn good manners. Margaret runs the village doughnut shop. When children come in, she greets them with a smile and gives them a freshly made doughnut.
Piers Petite has a big appetite - he's always saying "I'm hungry". If he smells food while playing with his friends, he can't help following his nose. His mother Margaret won't let him help get meals ready because he can't keep his hands off the food.
Andromeda Petite is good at listening to her friends and helping them to agree on things. When the children planned the school art show, nobody could agree on what to do, but Andromeda helped them to decide on a show that would make everybody happy. Andromeda loves sweets and always has some with her.
