As the first model in our new 2021 Shift R line, the R5 29" model is the perfect combination of frame design, 29" wheel size and componentry to flow up and down the trails. Built around our new 4-bar linkage frame with up-to-date geometry and proprietary X6 aluminum tubing, the new Shift R5 features a steeper seat tube angle for more efficient pedaling while climbing, a slacker head tube angle (at 67 degrees) and a longer reach for an improved riding position. With 120mm of front and rear travel provided by Suntour and X-Fusion respectively, the Shift R5 29", with its new Shimano Deore 11-speed components and 11-51T cassette, allows for a smooth ride up or down the trails, with a wide-range gear ratio and precise, crisp shifting.
