尾州地方の機屋にて製織したオリジナル素材。中細番手のヘンプ糸を経緯共に限界の超高密度で織り上げた平織物です。
製織後にニドム加工を施し、あえて生地を大きく収縮させることで、生地表面に独特の凸凹を出しています。
また、加工中に表面が擦れることで毛羽が柔らかくなり、まるで起毛したかのようなしっとりとした手触りに仕上がっています。
高密度に織り上げた段階では帆布のように硬い生地ですが、ニドム加工を経ることで、長年寄り添ってきた古布のような風合いに仕上がっています。

Excellent choice for long oil change intervals.

I'm a former dealership mechanic and for years I used whatever we had in the bulk tank which was usually Valvoline conventional. My last job was at a German car dealership. Castrol was the oil recommended by the German manufacturers and that's when I started using Castrol. In my experience Castrol is an excellent oil. My 2014 Ford just rolled over 242,000 miles and even with factory 10,000 mile oil change intervals, from what I can see through the oil fill the top end of the engine is still clean. I've never had to remove the valve cover. It's using about a quart between oil 10,000 mile oil changes which is great because when it was new it used about a 1/2 quart between changes.
