Sue Schlabach — "Botany Blue II". This work exemplifies a contemporary re-engagement with the traditions of botanical illustration, a genre with deep roots in scientific documentation and decorative art. Schlabach’s approach, while clearly indebted to the meticulous line work of 18th and 19th-century naturalists, departs significantly through its embrace of a modern, painterly aesthetic. The composition, characterized by an asymmetric balance, avoids the rigid formalism of historical botanical plates, instead allowing the organic forms of the flowers and butterfly to dictate a more fluid and dynamic arrangement. The visual structure is defined by a sparse use of line and a generous application of negative space, creating a sense of airiness and tranquility that is both calming and visually engaging. The color palette, dominated by a soft, cool blue and accented with earthy greens and subtle yellows, is a masterful application of restrained vibrancy, creating a harmonious and cohesive visual field. This deliberate choice of a muted, low-contrast palette suggests a conscious effort to move beyond mere representation toward an aesthetic that is both decorative and contemplative. The work can be situated within the broader context of 21st-century design art, where the fusion of natural motifs with modern sensibilities produces a visual language that is both familiar and fresh. Its interpretive significance lies in its ability to evoke a profound sense of quiet beauty, transforming a simple subject into a meditative experience that resonates with contemporary audiences seeking a connection to nature within the curated environments of modern life. For more art by Sue Schlabach click here.

This product is the real deal.
Scent: Unscented - Jojoba Oil
OMG. This is the best skin care product I have ever used. I'm 61 years old and my skin was showing sun damage, dark circles, real wrinkles around my eyes, lips, and forehead. Basically, I was looking every bit of my 61 years.
About 30 days ago I started using this organic beef tallow with raw honey moisturizer in conjunction with a product to clear the pores on my nose. (That's a different review.) I will never go back to the 5, costly products I was using.
I was using a daytime moisturizer with SPF, a dark circle cream, a dark spot remover, a fine line product, and a night time resurfacing cream before trying this product.
That was a couple hundred dollars every 5 weeks or so.
Since starting this beef tallow and raw honey 30 days ago, my skin looks 10 times better. It's dewy but not greasy. My makeup looks good ALL day. My wrinkles are less noticeable and, I think, reduced in depth. My under eyes look so good. No more concealer under my foundation. In fact, I can go out and about with no makeup now!
This product glides on easily, no dragging or pulling. It never feels greasy. And it only takes about a marble sized amount for my full face, neck, and decolletage.
I use it morning and at night. So far, the little jar is still 3/4 full.
Amazing product. I will be buying more for sure.
Oh, one more thing. About 2.5 years ago, I had to have a mass removed from the left side of my neck. The scar was very noticeable. This cream is even improving that!
Try it. See if I'm wrong!

Triggers rocasea
Scent: Unscented - Jojoba Oil
It isn't as greasy feeling as I thought it might be, and it smells good and feels nice and creamy.
I have slight rocasea, and the product made my skin turn red and burn a little. I'm not sure whether I should continue using it. It might be great for people without rocasea.
