Care and Maintenance: Although the surface of the wood is treated with wax, it is still subject to stains if spills are left without immediately wiping. It is strongly recommended to use a place mat or coaster to protect the surface from heat over 140º F from hot pots/pans/dishes/cups to avoid burn marks. It is recommended to re-apply the wax to the surface periodically with a neutral household paste wax that can be purchased at any major home improvement store. Dust the surface regularly with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh abrasives or chemicals.
