For Lotta with a balloon hem, choose fabrics such as French Terry, sweatshirt fabric, Punta di Roma, or light softshell. As the sweater is double-layered, it is important that the fabrics are not too heavy, so that the end result remains light and airy and the balloon hem comes into its own. Use a (ribbed) cuff fabric for the neckline if the main fabric is not stretchy enough.
