CHARACTERISTICS

• Idrostop does not contain bentonite.
• Thanks to its chemical composition, Idrostop, in permanent contact with water, expands gradually, creating an active barrier against water pressure (positive and negative).
• Unlike other materials that tend to lose effectiveness after repeated cycles of expansion and contraction, Idrostop maintains its properties unchanged even in the presence of aggressive waters such as, for example, saline waters (seawater), those from purification facilities. or, sewage.
• Idrostop is stable at temperatures between -30°C and +50°C

RECOMMENDATIONS

• Idrostop cannot be installed if the structure, at the time of application of the tape, is submerged in water. Take measures to eliminate any free water from the surface and wait a few hours before proceeding with installation.
• Idrostop cannot be used if the installation surface is heavily contaminated by acids or solvents. In this case, carry out a careful cleaning of the surface and consult the MAPEI Technical Assistance service.
