Introduction to Eugene Boudin: A Master of Naturalism

The Life and Artistic Journey of Eugene Boudin

Eugene Boudin, born in 1824 in Honfleur, France, is celebrated as a pioneer of outdoor painting. His passion for capturing the beauty of nature led him to become one of the first artists to paint en plein air. Boudin's early exposure to the coastal landscapes of Normandy greatly influenced his artistic vision. He often depicted the interplay of light and color in his works, which set the stage for the Impressionist movement.

Influences and Techniques: The Evolution of Boudin's Style

Boudin's style evolved through his interactions with other artists, including Claude Monet. He embraced the use of vibrant colors and loose brushwork, which became hallmarks of Impressionism. His dedication to naturalism is evident in "Pheasant, Duck and Fruit," where he skillfully blends realism with a touch of impressionistic flair. Love the sheets but GOSH THEY STINK
Color: 19 - Forest Green, Size: Queen (20" X 30")
I have the dark green sheets and bought these for extra cases to match. I would give them 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that they smell absolutely horrible. I am so surprised after reading reviews that more people don’t mention it?! Maybe it’s more prominent in darker colors but I have washed these now 3 different times even with scent beads and still hate the smell. I wish I could accurately describe what it smells like— it’s just not good and for some reason, body heat only exacerbates it and makes the smell even worse and I wake up feeling like a smell like the sheets… which isn’t a good thing. Besides that, I do really enjoy them. They feel great on your skin and I love the color. I wish the smell didn’t kill them so badly for me ☹️

Absolutely love these pillow cases! I bought 2 sets. After I received them & washed & dried them they did remain wrinkly. I just went ahead and put them on my pillows & the wrinkles went away. I continue to love the feel, coolness & comfort. Will definitely buy more.

These Bamboo Pillowcases Made Me Realize I Sleep Hot
Color: 07 - Cream, Size: Queen (20" X 30"), Color: 07 - Cream, Size: Queen (20" X 30")
I bought these mostly because I kept hearing people talk about bamboo pillowcases and honestly thought it sounded a little overhyped, but I totally get it now. The first thing I noticed was how cool they felt compared to regular cotton. I tend to get warm when I sleep and flip my pillow a million times during the night looking for the cold side, and these actually stay noticeably cooler longer. They also feel really soft without having that weird slippery texture some silky pillowcases have. My skin has been less irritated lately and my hair definitely looks less frizzy in the mornings. I have thick hair that tangles easily overnight, and these have helped more than I expected. Another thing I appreciate is that they’ve washed well so far. I was worried they’d pill or lose softness after a wash cycle, but they still feel smooth and nice. They also just make the bed feel cleaner and more comfortable overall. One of those small upgrades that ends up making a bigger difference than you’d think.
