The MediaGuard Cartridge system provides for high-performance filtration in water softeners/carbon filters
For reduction of hydrogen sulfide and/or iron laden water use KDF85 Media Guard. These systems are for down flow use only.

Mediaguard is mounter between the control valve and the tank, exhibiting consistently superior KDF Process Media as pretreatment media to improve the performance and efficiency of your water filter or softener system.

Mediaguard with KDF 85 Process media can remove up to 99% of water soluble lead, mercury, nickel,chromium and other dissolved metals. Chlorine and hydrogen sulfide. KDF media are effective in controlling buildup of bacteria, algae, fungi and scale, making them ideal for use in GAC beds, ion exchange resins, carbon block filter and inline carbon filters. Founded in 1984, KDF fluid treatment, Inc is a technological leader in the fluid treatment industry, KDF process media are high purity, copper-zinc formulations use in pretreatment, primary treatment and wastewater applications. KDF media supplement or replace existing technologies to dramatically extend system life, reduce heavy metals, microorganisms,scale and lower total cost cost and decrease maintenance. Patented KDF process media are 100 percent recyclable and contain no chemical additives.
