Sensual; red fruited and savoury with fine acid tannin balance. A reflection of a longer growing season, which delivered great physiological ripeness. The La Niña weather pattern continued from 2022 into the 2023 growing season in Marlborough, with warm and wet easterly patterns dominating. Flowering and fruit set were variable and protracted, with fruit set in chardonnay below average, which moderated yields. The lighter crops proved to be vital in combating disease, as the warmth and humidity carried into January and early February. Unlike the 2022 season — when this weather continued into harvest — in mid-February 2023, the tropical systems weakened in Marlborough and thankfully, a settled and dry late summer and autumn prevailed. Combined with smaller yields, these conditions delivered full flavour ripeness with ripe acidity, preserved through the pronounced diurnal shifts of long warm days and cool nights.

Source Blocks: Wrekin (Fairhall Valley) 55%; Settlement (Omaka Valley) 45%, Harvested: Settlement, March 17th; The Wrekin, March 19th. A longer growing season promoting great physiological ripeness. Grapes were hand-picked into ½ ton bins and transported to the winery. Fruit for all batches was sorted and de-stemmed into tank then sealed for five days at ambient temperature. Piegage was then employed, resulting in spontaneous rapid fermentation, lasting 8 to 10 days. During ferment, juice was poured back over the cap daily to maintain freshness and to facilitate gentle extraction. Post-fermentation the young wines were pressed, after a total of 19 days on skins for The Wrekin, 20 days for Settlement. The young wines were then settled and transferred separately in respective batches to seasoned (second and third year) French oak barrels. The wines remained in barrel for 13 months on original lees, undergoing a natural malolactic ferment during this period. Late April 2024 the wines were moved into tank, sulphured and remained there for 5 months prior to being racked and assembled in November 2024, for bottling in February 2025. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. A small natural deposit may occur.

Great choice for heavy chewers
Perfect for dogs that chew hard! Ours shred comparable toys at every turn, but this has held up beautifully. We’ve had it for a few months and it’s got minor wear and tear, but it is easy for them to play with, hardy, and worth every penny.

Durable, Fun, soft enough to not break teeth
Finally found a quality toy that our 75lb Black Mouth Cur hasn't destroyed in 5 minutes! In fact it's been a few months now. There are teeth marks, but she hasn't been able to take a chunk out of it yet. It even has some bounce to it when you toss it. And she finds it fun. Veterinary dentists recommend toys that are soft enough that you can leave a fingernail print in for toys that are less likely to break teeth, unlike bones and antlers. This is that toy! (My other dog broke both of her upper 3 rooted premolars on a Nylabone - healthy roots but the slab fracture exposed the pulp and had to be removed. Healthy roots are more difficult to remove. Dentists say those and antlers are money makers. 😭)

Great toy for big chewers!
Have only had 3 days but my boy has been trying to destroy it and it’s holding up really well! Normally his toys would have been destroyed in 24 hours or less, including Kong and other brands advertised as tough!

Durability is no joke!
Excellent product! Our GSD puppy chewed it for the past 10 months and she is a pretty strong chewer. Only now did she manage to get a couple small pieces off of it, and WoofBite was quick to provide our one-time replacement. Great customer service! Will purchase more of their products and highly recommend!

So far so good
Had this for almost a month and no chunks have been chewed off yet. I have a lab who prefers chewing over pulling or retrieving type toys. She's destroyed everything we've given her --sometimes within minutes. She loves Wubbas but she chews them to bits immediately. Other toys get chunks or small pieces chewed off and we wind up throwing them away. This has lasted well. Full disclosure, we only pull out toys at the end of the day for just a couple of hours, and we are within sight of her the whole time, that's why 4 stars. But so far to our surprise this has held up very well.
