The Eco Energy S20 is a rugged 20-amp PWM solar charge controller designed for reliable off-grid performance in 24V systems. Featuring a durable stainless steel case, 100% solid-state series design (not shunt), and very low battery consumption, it delivers efficient, dependable charging for medium-sized 24V solar installations. With a maximum PV open circuit voltage of 60V and an operating range of -40°C to +50°C, it is ideal for commercial vehicles, telecommunications sites, remote cabins, industrial monitoring stations, and other off-grid applications. Designed and built in North America and backed by a 5-year warranty.
Key Features & Benefits
20 Amp Charging Capacity: Provides up to 20 amps of charging current for 24V systems, suitable for medium-sized off-grid solar installations.
60V Maximum PV Open Circuit Voltage: Accepts higher voltage solar arrays, providing flexibility in panel configuration and allowing longer wire runs with less voltage drop.
Series Design (Not Shunt): Uses efficient series switching rather than shunt design for more reliable and effective charge control.
100% Solid State Design: No moving parts or mechanical relays to wear out, ensuring silent, maintenance-free operation.
Stainless Steel Case: Housed in a rugged, corrosion-resistant stainless steel enclosure for long-lasting durability in harsh environments.
Very Low Battery Consumption: Consumes only 0.7 mA at idle/standby and 2.5 mA while charging – preserving battery power for your loads.
Temperature-Compensated Charging: Automatically adjusts charge voltages based on ambient temperature, protecting batteries from undercharging in cold weather and overcharging in heat.
Wide Operating Temperature Range: Operates reliably from -40°C to +50°C (-40°F to +122°F), suitable for year-round use in any climate.
Typical Set Points (24V): Bulk charge at 28.8V ensures optimal battery charging for standard lead-acid batteries.
5-Year Warranty: Backed by a 5-year warranty for long-term peace of mind.
Designed and Built in North America: Engineered and manufactured to high quality standards with local support.
