The Volga Preamp religiously recreates the crystal cleans and moderate saturation of the Sovtek MIG 50 amp. Designed entirely with JFETS that have been meticulously and exhaustively voiced, paired, and biased to match the frequency response of one very special MIG 50 - mine (serial #000931).

Plenty of chime on tap, a touch of compression, natural-sounding amp-like breakup, a generous dose of low end harmonics, and punchy mids if you want’m.

The controls include volume on your overall output, a three-way channel switch that lets you choose between the different voicings of channel I (warm) and channel II (bright). Or, get the best of both worlds and run them together. The three-band EQ (treble, middle, bass), and presence control interact just like the amp, so ...you know, think “amp” not “pedal” when dialing it in.
