- The gemstone Opal is the official October birthstone.
- The Stayish Black Opal Mine, active since 2013, is located in the Wollo province of Northern Ethiopia. Like the White Opal, the Black Opal is found at the contact zone between the volcanic rock series and the underlying clay-rich layer.
- Ethiopian opals are often less expensive than Australian Opals, mainly because they are newly found and attempting to thrive in a competitive market. They remain a customer favorite and it's easy to see why: they dazzle, sparkle, and mesmerize for a good price.
- Ethiopian Opal Metaphysical Properties are believed to be an Emotional Intensifier, enhancing the True Nature of those who wear it. Some say it strengthens the Will to Live and shields the wearer Against Negativity, burning off Karma.

- Opal is related to Quartz, although it is much softer due to its high water content. As light enters the Opal, it bends around the edges of tiny particles of hydrated silica, "chips" of silicon and oxygen suspended in water within the stone. When it is diffracted, the light that is made up of all visible colors, each with its own wavelength, produces an entire rainbow of colors. They can internally display virtually any color, and Opals with the most “fire” are the most valuable. Diffraction can cause flashes of any color of the rainbow (opalescent). Australia produces 97% of the world’s Opals, although the reddish-orange “fire” Opals are mined in Mexico. The name Opal was probably derived from Sanskrit "upala", meaning "valuable stone". This was most likely the root for the Greek term "opallios", which translates as "color change". In the days of Roman antiquity there existed a so-called "opalus", or a "stone from several elements".

Great choice
Style: SPF 50 Roll On, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
After I suffered a second-degree burn from steam, I was told by my doctor that I would have to keep my new fresh skin sun-blocked for up to a year to avoid any scarring or hyper pigmentation. This has been a great selection as it is a roll-on, Which helps a lot with preventing messes that can happen with traditional sunblock bottles. I also like that it is easy to travel with, and the fact that it is zinc based.

My favorite new mineral sunscreen!
Style: SPF 50 Roll On, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is my favorite new mineral sunscreen! I've been searching for years for a product that is easy to apply, not messy, and doesn't show up too white. This roll-on is the perfect solution. I keep it near the front door and quickly roll the sunscreen on my hands, arms, and chest before leaving the house. The sunscreen applies so quickly and uniformly-- there are no bare spots or messy globs to rub in. Also, the roll-on keeps the sunscreen from oozing out of the tube and getting all over everything. Finally, the roll-on method also eliminates the frustration of having half-filled tubes and pumps where you can't even access the sunscreen when the tube gets low. Here's hoping this doesn't happen with the roll-on. Thank you Sun Bum for creating this wonderful product. I also love the reasonable price.

great product - it must be blended in well
Style: SPF 50 Roll On, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Love this stuff. The roll-on makes it easy to apply on the go. It leaves a white streak unless you blend it in. I don't mind the white streak - at least I know I applied the product.

I love the roll on sunscreen. It is quicker to apply and my little one can help without squeezing sunscreen everywhere. Will buy again.
