The gel slowly releases medical grade mineral oil which softens and moisturizes the skin. The socks fit both feet. They are machine washable at 30°, no dryer. Sprinkle the gel with Talcum powder if it becomes tacky.Caution: do not place the sock on an open wound.

It feels and smells great on the skin. I use it every night for my facial massage. It can be hard to wash off if you apply too much, but it can be washed off with a facial cleanser. I always wipe it off first and then wash my face with cleanser. I love it so far. It's a huge bottle, so it will last a long time. Great value for the price.
