The SYL-960 Floor/Track Hybrid Tripod Dolly from Glide Gear features interchangeable wheels for use on dolly track or straight on the floor. It is machined from aircraft grade 6061 anodized aluminum alloy to tight tolerances for precision and strength. So, although this system is strong enough to be used with rigs up to 35 lb, it is lightweight and folds up to be carried in the carry bag. Once set up, you place your tripod straight on the dolly, and you can achieve smooth tracking shots whether using tracks or on the floor. To accommodate larger tripods, the legs will extend an extra 5 inches.
At the heart of the SYL-960 track dolly system is the sliding swivel track wheel system. These in-line track wheels are not only full 360° swivel but are also able to freely slide within the wheel housing in any direction by an extra inch. This means that the track can be imperfectly aligned in places and still not affect the smooth operation of the Glide Gear SYL-960 track dolly.
In addition to all of these features, the SYL-901 is a hybrid that can easily be converted into a rolling camera dolly with the included regular swivel wheel casters. Each caster wheel has 360° swivel and locking mechanism, so your camera won't roll away on its own when not in use.
