Areas of application
DINITROL 501 FC-HM is used together with the appropriate primers for gluing windows for new glazing and repair in vehicle construction. By using the high-modulus adhesive DINITROL 501 FC-HM, the torsional stiffness of the body is increased by an additional 30 – 50%.
Method of use
The application of the DINITROL 501 FC-HM is done by extrusion out of drums, pails, foil wrapes and cartridges. The use of this product is suitable only for experienced users. Pre-tests are recommended for special applications.
Storage
Storage in closed packaging between 0 and 35°C.
DINITROL 538+ (activator & adhesion promoter)
The glass activator DINITROL 538+ is an adhesion promoting formulation which is used in combination with the DINITROL 530 for the direct glazing in the automotive industry. Within the system the multiprimer DINITROL 550 and activator DINITROL 538+ improve the adhesion onseveral metals and plastics.
Characteristics
The primer DINITROL 538 plus is a "one-step primer" with additional functions for wafer bonding with polyurethanes. DINITROL 538 plus is a primer designed as a pre-treatment in replacing polyurethane direct-glazed automotive glass parts and other substrates.
DINITROL 538 plus is a solvent containing, physically and chemical drying black primer which promotes the adhesion between the glass / paint surface and the direct glazing adhesive and acts as a UV protection. DINITROL 538 plus combines the following functions in one product:
• one-step glass-frit primer for the ceramic coating
• Pre-treatment of RIM and paints
• long life primer (no reaction within 3 month)
• inhibits rust in small nicks and scratches
• compatible with all DINOL adhesive systems
Features
• Cleaning agent of the bonding areas
• Excellent adhesion promoter on metal & plastics (together with DINITROL 550 Multiprimer) or for the direct glazing of windscreens (with DINITROL 530)
• Supports the long-term safety of replaced windscreens by DINITROL adhesives
Method of use
Before use of the primer DINITROL 538 plus, shake the bottle thoroughly until paint mixing balls rattle freely. Mix for an additional one minute. The application of the primer DINITROL 538 plus can be done manually by felt and/or an adequate tool.
Important Note: Due to its reactivity with moisture, the primer has to be used within 1 week after bottle has been opened. (if properly sealed) DINITROL 538 plus should not be used if the product has remained opened for an extended amount of time. Replace inner seal and cap tightly and immediately after each use to ensure maximum shelf life.

DINITROL 530 is a primer designed as a pre-treatment in replacing polyurethane direct-glazed automotive glass parts and other substrates. DINITROL 530 is a solvent containing, physically and chemically drying black primer which promotes the adhesion between the glass (in combination with the activator DINITROL 538+) and paint and the direct glazing adhesive and acts as a UV protection.
DINITROL 530 combines the following functions:
• Pre-treatment on glass and paint
• inhibits rust in small nicks and scratches
• compatible with all DINOL adhesive systems
Application:
Before use of the primer DINITROL 530 shake the bottle thoroughly until paint mixing balls rattles freely. Mix for an additional one minute. The application of the primer DINITROL 530 can be done manually by felt and/or an adequate tool. Due to its reactivity with moisture, the opened bottle has to be used within a few days. (Recommendation: 1 week)
