Directions For Use Nix Lice Treatment

Suitable for Adults and children 2 months old and older.

Inspect

• Inspect each household members scalp with a magnifying glass in bright light for lice/nits (eggs).
• Check for microscopic nits close to your skin, starting behind your neck and ears.
• Examine tiny hair parts at a time

Unlike dandruff which shakes loose when disturbed, nits cling to the hair a fraction of a millimeter from the scalp. Should either lice or nits be found, treat immediately with Nix Crème Rinse

Treat

Wash hair with a shampoo without conditioner. Do not use a shampoo containing a conditioner alone, as this may reduce Nix Crème rinse power. Rinse shampoo out with water.

• Dryhair by patting with a towel so it remains damp but not wet.
• Shakethe bottle of Nix well.
• ApplyNix Crème Rinse until hair and scalp is fully saturated, especially behind ears and at the back of the neck.
• LeaveNix in hair for exactly 10 minutes.
• Rinsewith warm water.
• Dryhair and comb out tangles.

Keep Nix out of the eyes. With a washcloth or towel, protect the eyes. Live lice should be treated for a second time seven days or longer following the first treatment.

Comb

After treating hair with Nix Crème Rinse, use Nix Combing Gel in tandem with Nix Premium 2-Sided Metal Detangling & Removal Comb in order to remove dead lice and remaining nits.

• Apply Nix Combing Gel thoroughly to hair to promote easier combing.
• Detanglehair by combing through with the wide tooth comb.
• Dampen hair slightly with water if it dries out at any point during combing.
• Part the hair into 4 sections. Work on one section at a time. Longer hair could take longer (1-2 hours).
• Start the segment you choose at the top of your head.
• Comb by bringing thin tooth comb as near as possible to the skirt and comb to remove dead lice and nits in the firm even move from the scalp to the ends of the hair.
• Pin back sections of hair after you have combed out the nits to prevent other areas from re-contaminating cleaned areas.
• Clean the comb completely as you go. Wipe the comb nits with the tissue and throw the tissue out of a plastic bag that has been sealed to prevent infestation. Wash any potentially affected clothes or beddings with hot water.
• Rinsethe hair and scalp completely when finished.
• Inspect the whole head for nits and, if necessary, repeat the combing.

To eliminate any nits you may have missed, check the afflicted head regularly.
