19th-century Italian Renaissance Revival dining table, likely dating from around 1870–1890.
🏛️ Design Features
Grotesque masks and paw feet — inspired by the High Renaissance decorative vocabulary of Florence and Venice, revived during the late-19th-century Italian and American Renaissance Revival periods.
Scrolled trestle supports — an architectural base form reminiscent of Renaissance refectory tables.
Carved stretcher with foliate scrollwork — both structural and decorative, typical of Italian craftsmanship.
Rectangular molded top with dentil-carved apron — the crisp detailing suggests a higher-end workshop.
📜 Historical Context
During the mid- to late-1800s, wealthy clients across Europe and America commissioned furniture in the Renaissance Revival style to evoke grandeur and classical learning.
This table would have been the centerpiece of a dining or library room in an aristocratic or merchant household.

Good Pillows to Show Off Decorative Pillow Shams
Size: Queen - 20"*30" (pack of 2), Color: Grey
Although we have queen-sized beds, we typically use standard-sized pillows. One of the quilt sets I got this Christmas time came with queen sized pillow shams, and the standard pillows just didn't fill them properly. I could have sewn flanges on either side of the shams, but I decided to order these pillows instead. The are almost wide enough to fully fill those shams that started all this additional purchasing. (I also ended up ordering pillow protectors for the queen sized pillows.)
The pillows are fluffy and substantial for now. My husband manages to flatten out pillows almost no matter how they start our. For now, so far so good. They re a medium-weight and fullness, I would say. They do a good job of showing off the pillow sham design, so that's a plus. I'm not planning for us to sleep on them, but they are added back support while watching TV. They are primarily for decorative purposes when the bed is made with the quilt and shams. They were a reasonable value for the intended purpose.
