ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Born in Brescia in 1974, Gabriele Picco is a visual artist and novelist whose works have conquered the world's greatest galleries, from New York's MoMA to the art biennales of Milan, Prague and Tirana. Passionate about the imaginary and symbolism, he explores themes of escape, travel and lightness in his creations. In 2005, for the Madonie Park in Sicily, he designed a striking sculpture inspired by the history of emigrants from southern Italy, symbolizing the hope of a better future and the dream of renewal.
