One of the critical superpowers of Singapore is a national character built on survival instinct and a distinctive obsession with being successful. Singaporeans by nature are kiasu (a Hokkien word which can be loosely translated to fear of missing out), and they wear it as a badge of honour. Being kiasu drives Singaporeans to be constantly paranoid, doing everything they can to achieve success. It creates a certain fanaticism about meritocracy and instils a belief that one can never be complacent.

 

In a regulated industry, our fear is our biggest strength, pushing us to comply with a wide range of ever-evolving regulations. The durable social fabric supports an adherence to order and authority. This book traces Singapore's journey from 2015 till today starting with establishment of regional hubs and globalisation of FinTech innovation. The key principles which established Singapore as a FinTech Nation have been an obsession with excellence referred to as RFFL (Right First, Fast Later), a unique model of economic and legal policies known as Singanomics and lastly, an organised and controlled model of a new idea development termed Garden Innovation.

Ok, I like the idea of this but the assembly is frustrating. One side lined up perfectly with the holes however, the small bars that connect the screen to base is not lining up. I think it's do the fabric the screen or divider is made of. It's not stretchy. I brought this months ago and just opened it today. I'm upset and don't even think returning it is possible. If the material was a bit longer or stretchy to give a little room to work with this divider would be great. However, I'm not sure what I can use it for since I'm unable to attach it to the bottom. Beware! Don't wait like me. Tip for the manufacturer. Next time invest in Velcro dividers so the fabric can be adjusted with ease. Literally if I take the screen off the frame aligns perfectly. However, it defeats its purpose of privacy. I might buy some material myself and create a more flexible divider. Or I'll buy Velcro myself and attach to the bottom. I don't know yet.

easy to put together, stable and blocks out unwanted eyes.

If you live in a high rise building, or where there is lots of foot traffic and can see in your windows, this is a must have. It's portable, can fold down one or two walls and easy to move around. Put together once, and block out light and eyes while tall enough to see over. You can fold it up along the wall, and use it to block out the blinds or light when using a projector so that it's darker. You can use it to partician the room if you share one, and separate your pile of junk from your room so you don't look at it, can take quite a bit of towel weight and clothes and doesn't tip over. Sturdy bottom metal and easy to put together. I got the grey one, and glad I did. I use it everyday and is part of my room decor. I love it, and after using it for a few months it's quite durable. The quality is there for sure. A tad pricey, but worth it. Must have for a private person.
