This introductory training is designed for yoga teachers who want a foundational understanding of prenatal yoga and the confidence to safely welcome pregnant students into class. You'll explore the basic physiological and emotional changes that occur throughout pregnancy, common considerations for movement and practice, and simple ways to adapt your teaching to better support expectant parents.
Led by a former birth doula, this training offers practical, real-world tools you can immediately apply in both general population and prenatal-focused classes. You'll learn how to make thoughtful modifications, adjust your cueing and sequencing, and create a supportive environment that honors the unique needs of pregnancy.
In this training, you'll learn how to:
- Safely support students through all stages of pregnancy
- Understand common physiological and emotional changes during pregnancy
- Adapt sequencing, cueing, and class structure appropriately
- Offer accessible modifications for common yoga postures
- Create a welcoming and supportive experience for expectant parents
Teacher Bio:
Brett has been teaching yoga since 2014 and has over 1,000 hours of training and mentorship under her belt. She specializes in creative and intelligently sequenced vinyasa classes, and also has a penchant for yin yoga, yoga philosophy, and prenatal yoga. She leads the 200-hour teacher training programs at Black Swan Yoga, and is a Professor at St Edward’s University, where she leads courses in Yoga & Meditation. In her classes, you can expect a dynamic sequence, playful moments, thoughtful cueing & a touch of humor!
Whether you have your 200-hour Teacher Training or are interested in more experience in your yoga practice, this program meets you exactly where you are.
All participants will meet Saturday - Sunday, 9 am-5 pm in-person at BSY Anderson

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS: Please note we do not offer refunds for modules. We CAN offer module transfers. A $50 fee will be charged for cancellations within 7 days of the training.
