The Mersey mattress offers medium to firm support and is built to strict Crib 5 safety standards. It features body-contouring pocket springs that respond individually to movement, providing tailored, piston-like support across the mattress.

Designed primarily for commercial and hospitality environments—such as hotels, hospitals, guest houses, and care homes—it complies with BS7177 fire safety regulations, which are more stringent than those required for domestic mattresses.

The mattress is upholstered in a durable damask fabric and finished with traditional hand tufting. This process secures the internal layers by threading tapes through the mattress and fastening them with cotton tufts on both sides, ensuring the hypo-allergenic white fibre fillings remain evenly distributed and firmly in place.

At its core, the mattress contains independently encased pocket springs, each housed in its own fabric sleeve. This design allows each spring to move freely, adapting to the sleeper’s body shape and delivering consistent, supportive comfort.
