Not every enclosed red dot needs to cost $300+ or weigh half a pound. The Athlon Midas Blaze TSR2 delivers the sealed tube protection, 50,000-hour battery life, and motion-sensor activation of Athlon's higher-tier Midas dots in a 5.5 oz package at under $200 — making it the most accessible enclosed red dot in the lineup without cutting the features that matter.

The 2 MOA dot provides a fine aiming point through a 25mm fully multi-coated objective, and the 0.5 MOA click adjustments give you precise zeroing control. The enclosed tube design keeps rain, dust, and debris away from the emitter — a real advantage over open-emitter dots in field conditions. Ten brightness settings handle everything from dim indoor ranges to bright sun, and the motion sensor sleeps the unit after 5 minutes of inactivity, waking it the instant movement is detected.

Two picatinny mounts are included: a 1.57" high mount for 1/3 co-witness with AR iron sights, and a 0.82" low mount for shotguns and lower-profile setups. The aircraft-grade aluminum chassis is nitrogen purged, waterproof, fog-proof, and shockproof.

Key Features
  • Enclosed tube design with 25mm objective — sealed emitter protected from rain, dust, and debris
  • 2 MOA red dot — fine enough for precise shot placement, fast enough for close-range work
  • 50,000 hours battery life — over 5 years of constant-on runtime at medium brightness
  • Motion-activated sleep/wake — sleeps after 5 minutes of inactivity, wakes instantly on movement
  • 0.5 MOA click adjustments — finer zeroing precision than standard 1 MOA red dots
  • Two mounts included — 1.57" high mount (1/3 co-witness on ARs) and 0.82" low mount (shotguns, low-profile setups)
  • Fully multi-coated optics — bright, true-color dot projection
  • 5.5 oz / 2.8" — lighter than most enclosed tube red dots in its class

Ideal For

Budget-conscious AR and PCC shooters who want enclosed-emitter reliability without the premium price — the Blaze delivers the same 50,000-hour battery life and motion-wake as Athlon's higher-tier Midas dots at a lower entry point.

Shotgun hunters who need a rugged, low-profile optic that handles recoil and weather — the included 0.82" low mount sits close to the bore, and the sealed tube shrugs off rain and brush contact.

First red dot buyers who want a forgiving, feature-rich optic to learn on — the enclosed tube eliminates the front-lens tinting of open dots, the 2 MOA dot is precise without being hard to find, and the motion-wake means it's always ready.

Compatibility

Mounts to any standard picatinny rail. Two mount heights included: 1.57" high mount for 1/3 co-witness with standard AR iron sights, or 0.82" low mount for shotguns and low-profile platforms.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
