It showcases the breadth, depth, and diversity of Diné creative artists and their poetry, fiction, and nonfiction prose.This wide-ranging anthology brings together writers who offer perspectives that span generations and perspectives on life and Diné history. The collected works display a rich variety of and creativity in themes: home and history; contemporary concerns about identity, historical trauma, and loss of language; and economic and environmental inequalities.The Diné Reader developed as a way to demonstrate both the power of Diné literary artistry and the persistence of the Navajo people. The volume opens with a foreword by poet Sherwin Bitsui, who offers insight into the importance of writing to the Navajo people. The editors then introduce the volume by detailing the literary history of the Diné people, establishing the context for the tremendous diversity of the works that follow, which includes free verse, sestinas, limericks, haiku, prose poems, creative nonfiction, mixed genres, and oral traditions reshaped into the written word.
This volume combines an array of literature with illuminating interviews, biographies, and photographs of the featured Diné writers and artists. A valuable resource to educators, literature enthusiasts, and beyond, this anthology is a much-needed showcase of Diné writers and their compelling work. The volume also includes a chronology of important dates in Diné history by Jennifer Nez Denetdale, as well as resources for teachers, students, and general readers by Michael Thompson. Nice but strap is deforming
Color: Green
This little bag seems to be very well constructed and is the perfect size for travel fir me.
PROS:
- has zippered. pockets including one in the back
- The interior is a light beige color so you can see inside easily
- the zippered pockets open wide for easy access
CONS:
- I wish the zipper on the top (main) pocket was a double zipper.
- The attached shoulder strap is thin with no reinforcement. The strap is becoming deformed (wrinkled, folded) after only a couple weeks of daily use. The US no way to replace it as it is sewn into the top
Overall it is a nice bag but I will look to replace it soon as a daily user because the strap issue

Anti theft, and perfect size.

Comfortable
Color: Beige
Love this purse. Lots of room and pockets to store things. Shoulder strap is wide and comfortable. Took it on a cruise and it worked well on excursions making it hands free to enjoy the sites and shopping. I ordered the beige which I love, but probably should have gotten a darker color since it got used and abused on that trip and others. The material is sturdy and holds up well.

Great travel bags

I ordered one each for myself and my daughters. Green, pink and beige. We used them for a trip and they worked out great. Nice variety of compartments and pockets. Very secure. Good size. Colors pretty. Highly recommend.

A great little bag that has RFID protection.

I really like this bag. I wanted a bag that had the RFID protection for credit cards, and this one does. I put my car keys in the front pouch with them, and I couldn't unlock my car because the signal was blocked. I moved the keys to the bigger pouch, and they worked fine. I can also fit a small change purse in the front pouch. In the second pouch, I can fit 2 glass cases, for sunglasses and a regular pair, my phone, keys, checkbook, small bottle of hand sanitizer and a small pack of tissues. I only keep my daughter's spare apartment key in the back zipper compartment, but you could probably put something small/flat in there. It is very comfortable to wear, and the ring to lock the zippers works well. Worth the price.
