Actimove Abdominal Binder Comfort with Soft Pad – 9" and 12" Abdominal Compression Binder

Call 866-218-0902 to confirm the correct binder height and size before ordering.

The Actimove Abdominal Binder Comfort with Soft Pad is designed to provide controlled abdominal compression with added comfort for patients who need post-surgical support, abdominal stabilization, or broad waist compression during recovery. Unlike basic elastic binders, this model includes a soft comfort pad that helps improve wear tolerance during extended use.

Available in both 9-inch (23 cm) and 12-inch (30 cm) heights, this binder allows better fit selection based on torso length, surgical site coverage, and the amount of abdominal support required. The wrap-style closure allows adjustable compression throughout the day without sacrificing comfort.

Quick Clinical Summary

  • Brand: Actimove
  • Product: Abdominal Binder Comfort with Soft Pad
  • Support Type: Adjustable abdominal compression binder
  • Heights Available: 9" (23 cm) and 12" (30 cm)
  • Sizes: X-Small, Small, Medium, Large
  • Feature: Integrated soft comfort pad for improved wear tolerance
  • Common Use: Post-surgical support, abdominal compression, trunk stabilization, recovery support
  • Sizing Method: Waist circumference + binder height selection

Why Choose the Comfort Soft Pad Binder?

Many patients need abdominal compression but struggle with irritation, pressure points, or discomfort from standard binders—especially after surgery or during longer wear periods. The Comfort model improves tolerance by adding a soft padded contact area while maintaining controlled circumferential compression.

This binder is commonly used for:

  • Post-operative abdominal support
  • Abdominal wall stabilization
  • Recovery after abdominal procedures
  • General trunk compression support
  • Patients sensitive to standard elastic binders
  • Longer wear-time support during recovery
  • Daily adjustable abdominal compression when directed by a provider

The choice between 9-inch and 12-inch height is important because proper vertical coverage affects both comfort and support performance.

Sizing Guide – Choose Height and Waist Size

This product requires two sizing decisions:

  1. Binder Height: 9" or 12"
  2. Waist Size: X-Small through Large

Choose the height based on torso length and the amount of abdominal coverage needed. Choose the size based on waist circumference where the binder will be worn.

Height Size Part Number EAN

9" (23 cm) Medium 7551415 4042809800524
9" (23 cm) Large 7551416 4042809800548
12" (30 cm) X-Small 7551417 4042809800562
12" (30 cm) Small 7551418 4042809800586

12" (30 cm) Large 7551420 4042809800623

How to Choose the Correct Binder

Step 1 – Choose Height

  • 9-inch Binder: Better for shorter torsos, lower-profile support, and patients who want less bulk
  • 12-inch Binder: Better for taller torsos, broader abdominal coverage, and stronger trunk support needs

Step 2 – Measure Waist Circumference

  1. Stand upright in a relaxed position
  2. Measure around the waist or abdomen where the binder will sit
  3. Keep the measuring tape level and snug, but not tight
  4. Choose the size that matches your measurement
  5. If between sizes, call before ordering for fit guidance

Fit warning: A binder that is too short may not cover the needed treatment area. A binder that is too large may fail to provide effective compression. For help choosing the correct combination, call 866-218-0902.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Actimove Abdominal Binder Comfort used for?

It is used for abdominal compression, post-surgical support, trunk stabilization, and recovery situations where controlled abdominal support is needed with improved comfort during wear.

What is the difference between the 9-inch and 12-inch versions?

The 9-inch model offers lower-profile support and works better for shorter torsos, while the 12-inch model provides broader abdominal coverage and stronger vertical support for taller torsos or larger treatment areas.

What does the soft pad do?

The soft comfort pad helps reduce pressure points and improves tolerance during wear, which is especially helpful for post-surgical patients or those wearing the binder for longer periods.

How do I choose the correct size?

Measure waist circumference where the binder will be worn, then match that measurement to the correct size range after selecting the proper binder height.

Can I wear this after surgery?

Abdominal binders are commonly used for post-operative support when recommended by a physician or clinical provider. Always follow provider instructions for wear schedule and compression level.

Can I adjust the compression during the day?

Yes. The wrap-style closure allows compression to be tightened or loosened depending on comfort, swelling, posture, and activity level.

Should the binder feel tight?

It should feel supportive and secure without restricting breathing, causing sharp pain, or creating discomfort while sitting, bending, or walking.

Great watch, but serious design flaw; Not expedition worthy.
Color: Black/Black/Brown
This is a great watch. Love the metal casing, band, and aesthetic design. Although it looks and 'feels' rugged, it is not worthy for the man of adventure. Let me explain. The middle knob of the watch (the main knob that you push for light/pull to set time) is a bit large and too exposed for its own good. This makes the knob vulnerable to any stress. Example, if you flex your wrist/hand backwards throughout your adventures, whether pushing yourself off the ground or climbing over rocks, the back of your hand places pressure on the knob. The knob eventually reacts to this stress by breaking off. The knob has a little metal stem behind it that appears to be made of lower quality metal. This knob is crucial to the watch as it is used to set the time (by pulling and turning knob). Without it, the watch is useless regarding time. If you are having difficulty understanding the hand/wrist stress, think of yourself in a push-up position while wearing the watch. The back of your hand places stress on the knob which is exacerbated by the angle of the watch strapped in that position. Perhaps I had a fluke, but this same problem happened on 3 watches. Yes, I loved this watch so much, that I purchased it 2 more times. The knob on the first one broke after being in the field doing archaeology, the second in an outdoor adventure, and the 3rd occurred by simply pushing myself off the floor after lying down. The knob broke off in all 3. This is a design flaw combined with low quality metal for the metallic rod behind the knob. If you look at a few other Timex 'expedition' models, you'll see the case is molded to the sides of the knob, protecting it from stress. This particular model could use something like that. I really loved this watch and still do. But I cannot recommend it to men who do active things. If you have a simple life working in the office and come home to the couch, this watch will suit you fine. For all others who move their hands in all sorts of directions, beware of this watch.

Great starter Field Watch. Rugged but simple and elegant.
Color: Black/Black/Brown, Color: Black/Black/Brown
I've been wanting to own a field watch for a while. I never got used to smart watches anyway, so I decided to go for a good brand that doesn't cost too much. I decided for this Time Expedition because it gas a good balance between rugged looks, simplicity and elegance. It's perfect for wearing every day, but also great for when you need to dress up as well. If you are planning on getting this watch, be aware that the seconds are tracked on the small dial at the bottom. The large "seconds" hand it's meant for the chonograph feature, so it will sit static at the zero mark until you start the chonograph. You also need to set it up out of the box. It's a simple process to set up the time, the date and reset the small dials in the zero position. The watch came without a manual, but there are plenty of videos on Youtube showing how to set up and use this exact model The band is simple but elegant. It looks like nobuck but it's not really real leather. I can't say how durable it is yet or how long it will look over the time, but Timex is respectable enough so I expect this band to last several months. It can be replaced and there are lots of aftermarket options so I don't worry about this. As other Expedition watches, it also comes with the Indiglo feature. You can activate night mode by pushing down the main button, then the entire face lights up. When using this feature, I noticed that the hands (being white) do not have a good contrast against the lit up face, but you get used to it. The hands themselves are bright under low-light conditions, so you don't really need the Indiglo feature unless you need to see other details from the watch Anyway, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Did not arrive in original packaging, though I do like the watch.
Color: Black/Black/Brown
The watch is great, I love it. I've had it for a week now and it's comfortable, functional, and stylish. However, I'm giving it only 3 stars because of how I received it. It was delivered in a ziplock sleeve with the warranty sheet stuffed in a bubble wrap package. I bought what was described as a new product, but it did not come in the original package, nor owners manual. I had to find the manual from the manufacturer's website in order to set the dang thing!! It begs the question... Did I really receive a genuine Timex timepiece? Either way, so far I'm happy with the product with the exception that the second hand on the stop watch sits about half a click left of noon. I have not yet tested the water resistance, which I'm a little apprehensive about since there seemed to be some sort of light colored lubricant or seal around the crown. I'll have to try it before my time frame for returns has passed. All in all, I would buy it again, just not from amazon fulfillment! UPDATE: I haven't worn the watch in over a year because the crown used to set the time has popped off. Spent no small amount of time trying to find a replacement, but I can't find good measurements for it. Would have to have access to an assortment and go by trial and error.... I guess it still deserves 3 stars?

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking
Color: Green/Black
I love this watch despite the fact that it is really a toy. I love the look of the watch, I love how lite the weight of the watch is on my wrist, and it really does keep good time if you manage the solar charge properly. Other than looking cool on your wrist, this watch has absolutely no functions other than time keeping. The black plastic bezel is molded into the case and does not turn, so don't plan on using that. The watch has no light, the dial numbers are non-luminous and the hands are very limited in terms of luminosity. No buttons. All you can do is adjust the time and date by pulling out what used to be a winding stem in the good old days. The small tag on the strap with Geographic coordinates shown on it indicate the location of the old Timex manufacturing facility (SW of Waterbury, CT). I have a nice ledge at my bedroom window and it gets good western sun for a good part of the day regardless of the time of year. On this ledge you will find a half dozen solar powered watches (mostly Casio) properly aligned to maximize the charge they may receive each day. Note that the description for this Timex watch specifically states that a lightbulb won't charge this watch. You need direct sunlight for several hours if you want to get more than a 3-week charge into this watch. So, I'll leave you with a couple of tips, my friends; 1.) If you are looking for a first watch to give your outdoorsy oriented Son or Daughter, then give them this one. Why? Because it is cool looking, fairly well built, and it actually works, 2.) After you receive your Timex watch, be sure to keep the display mount it is packaged with. It makes a great fixture to mount your watch on for charging and allows you to maximize the position of the solar cells on the dial so that you can optimize charging time. Have Fun! Jimmy

Excellent value, flawless performance for well over a year and no signs of quitting.
Color: Green/Black
Excellent value, had this for well over a year and it still keeps perfect time, still water resistant. No worries about having to change batteries. Owned a fancy expensive (battery) watch once and the dept. store repair intentionally sabotaged the watch in the hopes I would purchase another from them. Yeah, good luck with that, lost my business forever. This is the 21st century, cell phones are the new time pieces, but solar is totally reliable and Timex makes it happen. Holds a charge for many months, although I prop it in a bright window for a few days every few months or so just to make sure the cells are always fully charged, although it's probably unnecessary, just being over cautious. I haven't actually experienced this watch ever running out of power even after months of use. Damn impressive, as it should be.
