This pastel merino wool top blends soft shades of lavender, mint, blue, pink, yellow, and coral into a light rainbow color palette reminiscent of spun cotton candy. The fibers are smoothly combed and evenly blended, creating a consistent drafting experience that is especially pleasant for hand spinning.
At approximately 21 microns, this merino is fine and comfortable next to the skin while still maintaining enough structure for smooth drafting on a drop spindle or spinning wheel. The 3–3.5 inch staple length makes it approachable for newer spinners while still offering the control experienced fiber artists appreciate.
Because the fibers are presented as combed top, they draft easily into fine, even singles and can also be divided for color blending or textured spinning. The softly muted palette lends itself beautifully to shawls, lightweight garments, and subtle colorwork yarns.
