Under the shimmer it is doing real work. The film lays a tough cosmetic layer over your factory paint, taking the daily hits from grit, sun, light scuffs and wash swirls so the original paint stays sealed and clean. When you want a fresh look later, it peels back off and leaves the paint underneath the way it started.
