Super special vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Dress from Spring/Summer 1995, shown here documented on the runway. A fantastic example of that, this dress clearly takes it's silhouette from the 1940s-50s. Fitted bodice with an offset gather along the top of the bust and boning within for stucture. Solid color panel at the side with a raw, brass exposed zipper closure. Nipped, fitted waist with an hourglass inspired skirt bottom. Various snaps along the waistline for the extended train that wraps around and snaps in to make an architectural wing that you could also leave dragging as a train. Pockets at hips and backside. A cue from men's suiting- the skirt hem is intentionally unfinished and displays pinked edges. Exceptional. Lined in a contrasting abstract print rayon.
