Horns & Antlers"Horns & Antlers" is a piece that I have been planning to do for quite some time now. It depicts all eleven Ungulates that live in Canada. the big three take centre stage on this map the Moose, Elk and Bison are the three largest, heaviest and perhaps the easiest to recognize and see while travelling through Canada. Our northern ungulates, the Musk ox and Caribou live much more remotely and there are three sub species of Caribou the endangered Peary
"Horns & Antlers" is a piece that I have been planning to do for quite some time now. Our northern ungulates, the Musk-ox and Caribou live much more remotely and there are three sub-species of Caribou - the endangered Peary Caribou, the Barren-ground and the Woodland.
the bottom row in this piece includes the: Mountain Goat, Big Horn Sheep, Pronghorn Antelope, Dall Sheep, Mule Deer and the White-tailed Deer.
This piece is large and the original measures 30"H x 36"W. It is a National Geographic map of Canada and the art is done in graphite, Staedtler Markers in black and Molotow Markers in white.
The original has been entered into our annual Artists for Conservation competition and will also be entered into the Ducks Unlimited Portfolio Artist competition.
The Original retails for $ 6500.00 framed and ready to hang and 10% will be donated to the Nature Conservancy of Canada - an amazing organization that works very hard to protect Canada's great wilderness.
