- High load capacity for demanding applications
- No bearing plates required, allowing flush placement against corners
- Compression loads transferred by nut and rod to reduce wood crushing
Simpson Strong-Tie SSW24-2KT Applications
- Two-story stacked walls on concrete foundations
- Structural reinforcement for lateral systems
Simpson Strong-Tie SSW24-2KT Installation Overview
- Drill or notch subfloor to allow compression nuts to sit flush with underside of Steel Strong-Wall (SSW)
- Drill holes in first-story top plates to allow threaded rod to pass through
- Install threaded rods and nuts in lower Steel Strong-Wall
- Extend threaded rod through lower wall and floor system into upper wall
- Install solid blocking under center and each end of SSW per designer
- Place SSW over threaded rod and secure with anchor nuts included in SSW kit
- Attach shear transfer plate to upper SSW with supplied #14 self-drilling screws, and to rim joist with 0.148 in. x 3 in. nails
- Complete assembly with A34 angles (sold separately) per designer
- Attach SSW to top plates or header with Strong-Drive SDS screws (supplied)

Really good, but watch that sugar alcohol!

When you are limited by your sugar content, you search for anything that tastes better than cardboard!!
I’ve tried MANY different foods and treats. When you purchase something like a sugar free gummy bear you find out too late that the supposed gummy is actually hard and nothing like eating a squishy gummy. So I kept looking and found there chocolate caramels. Believe it or not, that they are really good. But like all things in life there are always positives and negatives. I’ve already told you that they have a great taste, so here come the negatives:
Somewhat expensive for such a small package.
VERY chewy. You have to be careful because when you chew this it gets somewhat thick residue all over your mouth. It’s exactly like chewing taffy where it becomes soft and somewhat pliable all over your mouth. Is this really bad? No, but it you have any dental problems or loose teeth, this not for you.

Too hard

The taste of the chocolate caramels was good but they werent as soft as I'd hoped. I will buy another bag to see if it was a fluke that they were harder than I'd hoped.
